"Saluting The Day To Day People"

In today's maelstrom of sensational journalism, violent video clips and political rhetoric, it is all too easy to forget how to be nice to one another.  We argue and discuss so called social points, as we are spoon fed hot button issues to talk about.  Yet we fail, horribly if not miserably, at recognizing the day to day heroes in our lives, around our lives and through our own daily living.

From just about every corner of the world, school has started.  There are mothers, fathers, older sisters and brothers struggling everyday to get a younger sibling into their schools and into a classroom to learn a little more everyday.  There are people hustling to their jobs in a hospital Emergency Room, waiting for today's flood of possible life and death patient scenarios.  There are librarians, cafeteria and restaurant workers, bus drivers, train engineers, traffic police, traffic guards and custodians who show up everyday trying to do a good job.  We need to salute these people and thank them for coming to work and doing a good job.

If you're having a heart attack in the middle of the street, do you care if the Emergency Medical Technician who shows up is male or female, black or white, comes from a rich family or poor family?  No, all you care about is that they are good at their job.  And that's all we should care about everyday.  We should not allow the negative sides of social media, sensationalism news reporting or even the occasional social flare ups influence the true laws of nature within us.  That is our minds, our hearts, our spirits are the standard for which to measure each other as good or bad, positive or negative people.

No ethnic group, no nation, no religion owns the sole position of being the most righteous.  We have all committed errors over time.  We should guard against those who use their ethnicity, nationalism or religion to commit violent acts upon others.  No one owns the earth or God.  Absolutely no one.

Let's remember to salute everyday people before we allow ourselves to get lost in our busy world.  Elevate!
